Venues

As I mentioned earlier, ACL live Moody theater is the best venue this day in age. Austin, however, has several other awesome venues too. Here are a list of my favorites.
1.) ACL live
2.) Austin Music Hall
3.) The Parrish (this is a small place good for an intimate show.)
4.) Stubb's
5.) La Zona Rosa

Emo's East is up an coming in austin and should hold true to its original Emo's popularity. This will most likely make the list once I visit it, however, I cant back it if I have never been.
Go visit these theaters, they are amazing.

If you ever in Austin...

Moody Theater

This past weekend, I saw Ghostland Observatory at Austin City Limits Moody Theater. It was
amazing. GLO is two guys who fuse electronica and true rock and roll. They provide a wonderful atmospher at there show with lasers everywhere. The two started off in Austin playing shows at Red 7 and Emos. Now they are known nation wide and have played at places like Red Rocks in Colorado and several music festivals.
The topic of this blog though is not about GLO, its about the Moody Theater. I personally feel that this is one of THE MOST classy venues this day in age. The balcony holds many and it tiered in a way that gives everyone a great view of the small intimate stage. The sound was stellar. I personally was on the floor(right infront of the stage.) The stage sticks out in the middle which allowed Aaron to give us alot of love. The vibe of the show was very classy. People were there to see music but felt like they got a upscale night on the town. This venue is a must visit for everyone, no matter the show.

FUNFUNFUN

Fun fun fun fest was this past weekend in Austin. This was the first year that it had to be held at Auditorium Shores because it has grown too big for Waterloo Park.
This festival is crazy because it brings out several different kinds of music lovers and crams them into the same park. It had Slayer, a very hardcore band, mixed with Passion Pit, a very poppy band.
The festival itself has become a huge deal to Austin, bringing in music lovers from all over the world. Austin gets a chance to show them all what the love of all music is really about. It also allows several restaurants to thrive by bringing in their tailors.
This year The Sexy Sax Man mad an appearance and it was absolutely hilarious. If a man of this stature is comming to a music festival in your town, you know you have hit it big time!
Festivles like these have helped and will help the Austin economy survive any sort of economic slow in our nation so rock on music lovers!
